Navigate to your Squarespace dashboard and head over to the 'Website Tools' section. At the bottom of the menu, you'll find the option labeled 'Announcement Bar.' Simply click on it to begin customizing and adding this feature to your site.

To enable the announcement bar, simply toggle it on. Once activated, the announcement bar will appear on your site. To customize the text, replace the default 'This is an example' message with your own. You can also add a clickable URL, allowing you to direct visitors to specific pages or promotions on your site. This is a great way to encourage visitors to engage with your content and explore more of what you offer.

If you'd like to customize the colors of the announcement bar, navigate to the Colors tab on the right side of your Squarespace editor. From there, edit the theme you're currently using—for example, 'Darkest 1.' Once you select the theme, click on the announcement bar itself, and the color customization options will appear. You can then adjust the colors to match your site's branding and style preferences
